Rachel Maddow was interviewed by Mother Jones recently. Here is a bit of a taste:
"My central thesis is that we need more politics in the military. This idea of "the foreign policy consensus" gave Congress an excuse to be hands-off about deploying armed forces for reasons that never got debated and were often scandalous when they came to light. The number of Iraq veterans who ran for Congress this year? Holy shit. To have the Democratic Party become the party of the veterans? There's a realignment happening at the urging of members of the military who are sick of being used."

I love her, the gay husband considers her his lesbian TV wife and my mom talks about her with more affection than she does Oprah...which is saying something, trust.
I like her ok... But I think I prefer Olbermann.... When push comes to shove, I watch Keith... And since they cover pretty much the same stories and viewpoint on MSNBC... I find that I delete her regularly off the DVR... Does this make me a bad gay person?
