Today was National Adoption Day. A lot of young people are waiting to become part of a family.
SIDENOTE: Hmmm, some states don't allow GLBT or single people to adopt. In the words of Margaret Cho, Jesus Christ sees what's the religious right are doing and screams "That's not what I meant!"

Yeah Allan! Thanks for pointing this out. Adoption (or the lack thereof) is one of the biggest not-talked-about problems in the country today. And almost all studies show that children who are adopted perform better in school and have better life outcomes, yet the gov't and stupid people place all these restrictions on who can raise these children! It makes me sick...
