I shared the following comment (see below) on one of my favorite blogs. The southern gentleman V had posted a video of Orly Taitz's appearance on MSNBC.
"Yes, she is an a-hole. However, by laughing at her and continuing to call those of a different opinion crazy or stupid, just adds to the divide that will do all of us in.
The polarization of this country is a bad thing. The MSM is a fucking joke. Look how they handled this situation. Let her talk and it could have been easily dismantled.
The MSM tickled the liberal-leaning folks by dissing the conservative-leaning folks. While it is tempting to do so, it really does not bring people together. And, it fosters a climate of just being nasty to each other. Shameful!
This form of entertainment, masked in journalistic clothing, creates less of an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussion.
I'm so over these so called news shows being a Merlot drinking version of Jerry Springer."

When I saw her ranting in that clip I decided that she isn't someone to be mocked, but someone to be pittied because she is so obviously mentally ill and completely caught up in "tilting at windmills". I don't even sweat the "birther" movement continuing as long as they cut this mental health case loose.
Check out Tendolla's latest posting on my blog. He's finally gotten past his "A&F queer" fascination and moved on to real men instead of closet case frat twinks.
You can't help but listen to her and want to go get her meds. And that's the problem -- not all ideas are equal to all other ideas. Some things - like this whole birth certificate thing - are just whack and need to be called out.
The parody is, that while she underlines on her message that Obama can not be trusted or unfit to be president, we the millions of Americans that voted for him should listen to her. A dentist/lawyer/Real State agent/Russian born, now speaks for the Birthers. The same people that are not willing to accept that Obama is from Hawaii, belief this chick. If the “MSNBC” news cast laughed at her, trust me she had it coming. The Sad part about it is that this is becoming infectious, and this new trend is halting any sensible dialogue for progress in the nation. It works for republicans to keep distracting and interrupting any discourse of politics for them to keep aligning themselves with the corporations that bankrupted the nation, and with the racist far right that no matter what will never understand anything better.
I feel you, but I wish she would have thought about how she came across
She's quite a sad woman...
I feel you Alan, we do indeed live in a polorized society, and while the art and decency of listening to one another is slowly becoming a thing of legend, some folks are just not worth hearing. I agree with Al In The Country, and Kitty for that matter, the woman is ill. She didn't even seem capable of finishing a sentence.
